We, Environment & Climate Change Canada, take our privacy obligations seriously and we’ve created this privacy policy to explain how we treat your personal information collected on this website. Personal information is information we hold which is identifiable as being about you.

Let’s Talk Weather

The personal information you provide is collected under the authority of the Department of the Environment Act and subsection 7(1) of the Financial Administration Act. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is seeking to engage Canadians to find out how we can make our weather messaging more relevant and “understandable” to Canadians. Your personal information will be collected to help inform the development and evolution of our weather products. Your participation and decision to answer consultation questions is voluntary. Information will be used in accordance with the conditions listed in the Personal Information Bank Public Communications PSU 914. You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think your personal information has been handled improperly. The Let’s Talk Weather site is an online engagement platform hosted by Bang the Table Canada Ltd (Bang the Table). By using the Site, you consent to Bang the Table using information we collect about your use of the site, your interests and behaviour. Their collection, use and disclosure of your personal information is regulated by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada), or similar privacy legislation applicable in your Province, as amended from time to time.
